On this day in 2011, Esperance Sportive de Tunis defeated Etoile Sportive du Sahel in the Cup final claiming their 14th title and completing the fifth domestic double in the club’s history.

Just a few months later, the team went on to win the CAF Champions League achieving a historic treble — the only one ever accomplished in Tunisian football.

On this day in 1976, Espérance drew 1-1 with Étoile du Sahel in the second leg of the championship playoff with Mohamed Ben Mahmoud scoring in the 80th minute to secure the club’s sixth league title.

On this day in 2018, Espérance Sportive de Tunis defeated Étoile Sportive du Sahel 28-27 in the final of the Tunisian Handball Cup, winning the title for the 26th time.

On this day in 2023, Espérance Sportive de Tunis won the Tunisian Handball Cup by defeating Makarem Mahdia 35-22 in the final. This cup is the 29th in Espérance’s history, their third consecutive title, and their 21st double (league and cup).

On this day in 2014, Club Africain faced Espérance in a decisive match for the title. The first half ended with a score of 10 to 10. In the second half, we made the difference and won the match 23 to 21, thus securing our 29th title.

On this day in 2016, we triumphed over Egypt's Zamalek in the Moroccan town of El Aayoune, with a score of 33-32 after extra time. This was our second African Supercup trophy, following the one we won in 2014.
